Last years Brown

It was this time last year when we were fishing the Current and caught a nice brown out of the first access in the trouphy waters. It was raining off and on all day but determination was on our side. The temperature was a wet 45 degrees above the water but below the water was perfect. It had started raining hard once again so we were just about to head up for some lunch and maybe call it a day. I tied a size 10 Sculpin tie I had found at a shop somewhere and was a fairly unique tie. I dead floated the fly down stream and started the process of stripping the line back with no luck. After a few tries I though I hit a snag. The line was defiantly not moving, Moss again. That’s when the snag moved down stream to the bigger pool. It was a brown that bent the 6wt Orvis rod from tip to toe. Long story short I landed the brown and we headed for some lunch. When we returned so did the sun and the bows. So my word to the wise is look for the rain. The big boys come out to play in the rain and are easier not to spook since they can't see you as well. The pole will be getting wet this month for sure.

Sounds good. I look forward to Lilley's Landing for some big browns and Lake Taneycomo.
